Black Community Wellness Fund
The Black Community Wellness Fund is a vital resource for supporting the mental health needs of black communities. According to the American Psychiatric Association, black Americans are more likely to experience mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD, yet they are less likely to receive proper care due to systemic barriers. The Black Community Mental Health Fund aims to promote mental health awareness and holistic ways of living for black individuals. This includes funding for therapy sessions, wellness programs, and community events. With the support of donors, this fund can make a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of black communities across the country.
The LGBTQ Wellness Fund
The LGBTQ Wellness Fund aims to work toward the wellness and Mental health of LGBTQ Community. Studies show that LGBTQ individuals are more likely to experience mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation, with LGBTQ youth being four times more likely to attempt suicide than their non-LGBTQ peers. These disparities are often attributed to the stigma, discrimination, and lack of acceptance that LGBTQ individuals face in society. The South Asian Wellness Fund
The South Asian Wellness Fund is oriented to the South Asian workforce dealing with mental health problems such as depression and anxiety due to the unique cultural workspace and social experiences they face, including discrimination, racism, and acculturation stress.
